With 2016 barely a week old, there’s a sense that the new year has boundless potential.
There’s no limit to the progress humankind could make in the next twelve months. If we committed all our energy and resources, we could probably solve society’s problems, make great technological advances and achieve world peace.
Or we could just get some scantily-clad women to fight each other in a series of MMA cage matches collectively known as the Lingerie Fighting Championships . Hmm.
In a timely reminder that our lofty ambitions for humanity are probably a bit idealistic, this promo for the LFC was released recently.
As you might be able to guess from the above description, it shows lots of ladies engaging in martial arts while wearing bras and stuff. Chuck in a customary heavy metal soundtrack and plenty of fake-looking antagonism, and you’ve got yourself a bona fide spectacle.
Not everyone’s cup of tea. But there we are.
