Disney characters are recognizable across most cultures, genders, and age groups. Which explains this latest trend of using Disney princesses to get across a certain message. From what they would look like as breast cancer survivors to being victims of sexual abuse by a family member, it seems Disney princesses are a universal teaching tool.
Curvy Kate is a lingerie brand that caters specifically to plus-sized women. Like all lingerie brands, Curvy Kate needed models to show off its latest collection. A few notable names came to mind, but certain changes needed to be made before they were ready — changes that would give these models a more identifiable body image that doesn’t exclude women without a nonexistent waistline and skinny arms (aka most women).
