The Arkema Inc plant in Crosby, Texas, has been flooded due to massive amounts of flooding brought by Hurricane Harvey.

Emergency services have been monitoring the plant as it was forced to be abandoned yesterday due to the storm.

It has now been admitted the situation has worsened and there is now “no way” to prevent the blast, according to the company’s CEO Richard Rowe.

Flooding has submerged much of the plant and all residents with 1.5 miles have been evacuated as a “precaution”.
