Sex at LA Convention Center: Porn stars, ‘how-to’ tips, toys for you!

The business of sex – including “porn stars of tomorrow” and “mega stars of today” – will be on display this weekend as the Los Angeles Convention Center hosts the annual “Adultcon.”
The “adult lifestyle convention” was described on the event website as “the playground for adults where you have the freedom of indulging yourself in erotic adventures without shame.”
Thousands of porn fans are expected for the annual “erotic, naughty and provocative adult fan fair” that was first held in 2001. The event will run Saturday and Sunday from to 1 to 8 p.m. each day. Regular daily tickets are $40, but”VIP” passes are available for $50 that include admission to the “ultra lounge” and “relaxing massages.”
Organizers warned that “only small ‘home style’ hand-held video cameras are allowed,” and that while professional media representatives are welcome, “Adultcon is the most difficult expo to get a media pass to.”
Despite the numerous racy promises on the event website (www.adultcon.com), organizers insisted it’s “not a porn convention, it is an adult expo.
“Maybe you are a little nervous, just not sure if this kind of show is for you.”
The organizers called the show a “unique, adult consumer show and shopping experience that has been growing and expanding since 2001.
“Marketed also to women and couples, Adultcon offers a safe yet titillating environment dedicated to entertaining and educating you on all aspects of sex and sexuality.
“Enjoy fantastic stage shows and learn new sex ‘how tos’ and tips from our exhibitors. Shopping provides for great deals and the newest, hottest toys and products.”
Describing the atmosphere as 30,000 square feet of downtown Los Angeles convention center space with the “thumping beat of the music by our official DJ while you shop and meet the adult entertainers,” organizers promised opportunities to “get up close to watch burlesque, hot models, strippers, bondage demos and more.”
Shopping benefits include “knowledgeable exhibitors who know their sex toys, lingerie and adult products.”

Weird or wonderful? These ‘kinky’ fairytale lingerie sets are inspired by Disney princesses

You may associate your favourite fairytale heroines with your childhood, but the likes of Little Little Red Riding Hood and Snow White have shown they have a pretty broad appeal.
So much so, one lingerie company has come up with some bizarre, ‘kinky’ designs inspired by some of our favourite characters.
Felissimo have commissioned bra and pants sets based on both fairy tale and historical figures.
Each character – including Snow White, The Little Mermaid and Red Riding Hood – is said to be designed as an homage to the original traditional costumes.
And while the combination of traditional fairy tales and sexy lingerie may seem a bit of an odd one, the sets have become a huge hit in Japan.
Why?
Good question. According to the online retailer, lingerie was commissioned to “celebrate ‘the beauty and power of well-known female figures’.”
Also in the range is a ‘Cleopatra’ set, apparently ” designed to reflect the glory of ancient Egypt” and features rhinestones and a fancy gold trim to “illustrate the wealth of the female pharoah”.
The Snow White inspired set borrows details from the Disney costume design of blue and white with red bows.
As for the Little Mermaid set, the nautical theme shown in the frilly shorts (we’re told like a tail fin) and a seashell-shaped bra.

Even the Red Riding Hood outfit has rope-like trim to reflect the ties of the character’s cape.

Weird or not?
Well, ‘not’ according to the many online fans who say the underwear is a ‘sensation’.
Andrew Phillips from, Canada said, “Love the Red Riding hood, especially with the cloak.”
