Lingerie retailer hosting huge Twister tournament in Tampa

Swimwear and lingerie retailer Ashley Nation is going a step beyond rolling out the red carpet to welcome customers to its first Tampa store — it’s rolling out the red (and blue, and yellow, and green) mats for a giant Twister tournament at the University of South Florida’s Riverfront Park.

Ashley Nation and 93.3 WFLZ will be hosting a Twister tournament at the park on Saturday featuring up to 300 people competing in the classic game of flexibility and balance at once.

Attendees can win prizes, which include a trip to Cancun, Playstation 4s, a pink Wolf Islander scooter and gift cards, either by competing or through a raffle that will benefit Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The event runs from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the park located at 6550 E. Fletcher Ave. Competitors can register for free online at ashleynation.com/twister.

Ashley Nation, which is headquartered in Tampa, will open a store in the Westfield Citrus Park mall on Oct. 1, with plans to open three more stores in the Tampa area over the next seven months, according to a news release. They sell bras, underwear, sleepwear and swimsuits targeted at young women.
