Manga author Moyoco Anno is teaming up with Japanese lingerie maker Ravijour to produce a limited edition line of highly fashionable underwear. The clothing featuring Anno’s designs will go on sale beginning September 26, 2015. An official teaser site for the collaboration can be viewed here.

In addition to her work publishing josei manga, Moyoco Anno also writes about beauty and fashion for outlets such as Kodansha’s VoCE magazine.

Cindy recently spoke to Elle Magazine about the unauthorized release of an unflattering image of herself from Marie Claire.

The questionable Marie Claire portrait she discussed shows her wearing lacy black lingerie and a lengthy feathered coat – with stretch marks and sagging skin.

While many women saw the less-than-perfect image as a positive step, Cindy felt its release was malicious.

‘I felt blindsided,’ she dished to the publication, ‘That picture didn’t reflect what I saw when I looked in the mirror—even in the worst dressing-room lighting’.

She added: ‘It put me in a tough spot: I couldn’t come out against it because I’m rejecting all these people who felt good about it, but I also didn’t embrace it because it wasn’t real – and even if it were real, I wouldn’t have wanted it out there.’
