IF THERE’S a “silver lining” to splitting with lingerie model Suki Waterhouse, it appears that Bradley Cooper has found it.
Cooper was spotted smooching with Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Irina Shayk outside a London hotel Monday night.
The UK’s Daily Mail reports that Shayk, 29, and Cooper, 40, were all smiles as they exited the Novikov Restaurant and Bar .
Photos surfaced online yesterday of the Hollywood heart throb and the Russian model coyly ducking and dodging paparazzi as they got into a cab in London’s Mayfair section.
Sources say that the Jenkintown native (and former Daily News intern) was in London rehearsing for the debut of “The Elephant Man.” Three-time Oscar nominee Cooper stars in the play, which opens Tuesday and runs for 12 weeks.
After he was seen kissing Shayk at a New York City Met Gala after-party last week, Cooper confirmed he had split with Waterhouse back in March.
Tootsie’s turns 15
Keven Parker, owner of the South Street staple, Ms. Tootsie’s Restaurant Bar Lounge, will celebrate 15 years in business next week.
Today, from noon to 1 p.m., Tom Joyner, from radio’s nationally syndicated “Tom Joyner Morning Show” (heard here on WRNB) and TV’s “Tom Joyner Show,” will be handing out free lunches at Ms. Tootsie’s Soul Food Café, in the Reading Terminal Market (51 N. 12th St.). About 100 are up for grabs.
“What I’m most proud of is that the Ms. Tootsie’s brand has come to stand for more than fried chicken and mac-and-cheese,” said Parker.
“When it comes to dining, we have shown that soul food crosses all backgrounds, ages and ethnicity, with the understanding that the experience is just as important as the cuisine.”
Ms. Tootsie’s has been the chosen venue for several celebrities just in 2015 alone, including singer Patti LaBelle, “Empire” star Bryshere Gray, reality star Shawn Bullard and Mayor Nutter.
Out and about
Emmy- and Tony-award winning singer Kristin Chenoweth drew the biggest applause last night when she opened the Phillies’ game with the “Star-Spangled Banner.”
For the second year in a row, the Broadway beauty delivered the anthem in honor of Asthma Awareness Month. Despite being an asthma sufferer, Chenoweth knocked it out of the park. That was about the only thing, though, that hit a home run with fans. The Phillies lost to the Pittsburgh Pirates, 4-3.
Change of hands
It appears the new publisher of Philadelphia Weekly has laid out a new set of rules over at the popular tabloid.
According to a newly axed, award-winning freelance writer for PW, the paper is no longer soliciting services from freelancers, effective immediately. Furthermore, they’re no longer interested in producing digital content, especially content for which they would have to pay.
I got in touch with PW Editor Stephen Segal.
“Having just rolled out the exciting new redesign of Philly Weekly‘s print magazine last week, we’re looking forward to doing the same with our web presence in the very near future,” he said.
Reunited, at last
Two “Howard Stern Show” veteran comedians will end a 10-year hiatus from doing comedy on tour this coming weekend.
The Reverend Bob Levy and “Stuttering” John Melendez will be doing two shows Saturday at Comedy Cabaret (11580 Roosevelt Blvd.) in Northeast Philly.
“Insanity,” Levy told me. “It’s going to be the best you’re ever going to see – because I’m in it, and look who I’m bringing with me.”
Hosted by local veteran comic John Kensil, the show promises to be a fun-filled reunion of two battle-scarred belly-laugh makers.
Levy said he has never had one of Pat’s or Geno’s cheesesteaks, and plans to pop that cherry this go-round in Philly.
