While weddings can sometimes seem a little samey, lacking in originality at times, the upcoming trends for future brides-to-be are guaranteed to give a unique twist on your wedding day. Take a look at the next big bridal trends and take inspiration for your big day (or just enjoy gazing at the trends and day dreaming your big day!)…

Let’s go traditional!

Since the royal wedding in 2011, brides-to-be have been searching for Kate-inspired dresses, to have their own princess moment. Of course, Kate’s dress was the ideal traditional bridal gown, classy and timeless, and resembled the wedding dress of Grace Kelly, the day she married her prince. Kate’s dress custom made Sarah Burton dress has become the inspiration for many bride’s when choosing their dream dress, and the traditional trend appears to be growing.

Lace is one of the most popular trends for brides, lace brings a traditional and classic touch to a wedding gown, giving your dress a vintage look. Lace is delicate and romantic, and has been used on bridal gowns for centuries. For a while now, lace disappeared from the modern-day bridal gowns, but has returned bringing back all the traditiomal aesthetics, making the modern-day brides, a little more traditional. Long sleeves have also made a rapid return to bridal dresses. The act of covering up may seem as a way to make a bride look chaste, which of course makes the dress seem all the more traditional, but also gives you the opportunity to add more interest with lace, sequins and ethereal prints.

Underwear as outerwear!

Breaking from the traditional trend, the underwear as outerwear trend is for the more daring bride. To achieve this look, your gown will be reminiscent of the slip dress craze, with silk, satin and appliqués, to avoid looking too lingerie-esque. This new trend of underwear as outerwear is a brave choice for a bride, but the trend is definitely rising within the latest bridal trends. The most desired wedding dress designer, Vera Wang, has lead the trail into the underwear as outerwear trend, with delicately designed dresses that in turn, show off your delicates.

Back exposure

Although trends are leaning towards the traditional side, brides still want to feel the sexy and show stopping, the way they are creating this attention is by exposing the back of the dress, leaving your back on display. Another daring trend, but one to give your wedding dress more sex appeal and leave a lasting impression as you walk down the aisle.

Plunging necklines

If you want the back to be covered, then reverse the exposure and have a plunging neckline instead. While having everything on display will certainly cause attention on your big day, there are ways to wear the plunging neckline in a much more bridal way. Having any exposure in your wedding dress will always be a daring move, but being sexy is allowed on your wedding day, and although it juxtaposes the traditional trend, it is going to be a popular trend for 2016 brides.

Feathers

If you want a more avant-garde gown, then feathers is the way to go. This flirty and vivacious aspect of feathers will give a truly mesmerising aesthetic to the gown. Feathers is a unique way to turn your gown into a piece of art and be sure that your dress is like no other wedding dress you’ve seen this year.

Little White Dress

Not every bride wants the big, bold, long train wedding dress, many brides are opting for the little white dress. Short wedding dresses are much more comfortable, wearable and free you from the hassle of carrying around a large mass of white fabric, meaning you’re much more able to enjoy your big day. The tea dress style is the most popular form of little while dress, inspired by Audrey Hepburn’s iconic wedding dress in the movie Funny Face.

Overlay

Embrace the extra lace, tulle and organza, over the top of a sexy, slim fitting wedding dress and create a Elsa-inspired wedding dress. While following in the footsteps of a Disney princess may not be everyone’s ideal way to dress in their big day, there’s no denying that overlays give an enchanting aesthetic to your bridal gown, with details that will leave your guests inspired.

Pantsuits

One of the biggest additions to the bridal trends is pantsuits. While pantsuits have been a part of weddings for several years, they’ve never gained the popularity that bridal gowns have had, until now. Designers are creating multiple pantsuit options for the bride who doesn’t want the traditional princess gown. Pantsuits bring a classic chic and Parisian style to your wedding, with an ultra modern style, pantsuits give you the opportunity to break away from tradition and stand out from the crowd.

Gisele Bundchen Poses Nude On ‘Vogue’ Brasil Cover: See Her Sexy Shoot

She might have retired from her runway career, but the hot model clearly shows no signs of slowing down as she stripped down and posed entirely nude to fete the 40th anniversary of the magazine. What do you think of her nude shoot?

Now that’s one way to get our attention! Gisele Bundchen, 34, might have taken her last stroll down the runway, but she is still showing off — and this time she did so while posing entirely nude for the 40th anniversary issue of Vogue Brasil. The stunning supermodel took to Instagram to debut an image from the sexy shoot, which was captured by famed photog duo Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin…and it is hotter than ever! Gisele can be seen standing to the side in the black-and-white image.

The magazine isn’t the only one celebrating a milestone — in fact, the cover also celebrates Gisele’s 20th anniversary as a model, (and she looks amazing).

The model looked so statuesque as she posed on a pedestal, turned to the side, letting every inch of her long frame show as her signature locks cascaded over her shoulder. The theme for the issue focused on four elements: earth, fire, water, and wind…and Gisele did a fabulous job bringing them to life in the issue. Aside from stripping down for the cover, she also posed in a slew of looks, including a milky bath — and she still totally smolders in the captivating images.

There’s no denying the fact that Gisele looks like a modern-day goddess, but what else would you expect from this pro? Although she made it clear that she was retiring from the runway, she did say she would continue to shoot editorial work and build her brand, (which includes her sizzling lingerie line!).
