What do breast cancer survivors, pregnant women, plus size models, female skateboarders, dominatrices and burlesque artists have in common? They made up the diverse ensemble of models for this weekend’s Lingerie Fashion Week, celebrating the beauty in every body type.

Last week saw a massive backlash against Victoria’s Secret, after the company released a line of bras marketed as the “Perfect Body”–juxtaposed against images of women with the same extremely slender body type, airbrushed into gleaming impossibility. A campaign on change.org generated over 27,000 signatures before the slogan was quietly altered today to read, “A Body for Every Body.” The hashtag #iamperfect began trending as thousands of women reminded the company that there truly is no such thing as a “perfect body.”

The women at Lingerie Fashion Week think so too, as founder Lauren Rich states in a recent press release, “Lingerie is not one-size-fits-all, and neither are the women who wear it–on, and off, the runway.”

There’s a palpable sense of joy in the photos released from the runway, and the spectrum of creative inspiration–as well as diversity of body types–felt wildly playful and fun. Think Fifth Element-inspired “pregnant-models-turned-fembot warriors,” a BDSM-inspired line featuring dominatrices and bondage props, and a beautifully androgynous line from gender-neutral designers Play Out. And even “an extreme sports performance” by All Girl Skate Jam, a skateboarding brand whose mission is to encourage women’s participation in the male-dominated skateboard industry.

The event also managed to inspire for a good cause. On the final day of Fashion Week, the models proudly beaming from the runway were either breast cancer survivors or women currently battling the disease… with a portion of the ticket sales supporting the PinkChoseMe Foundation, dedicated to empowering the lives of women with breast cancer.

In a culture that often seems to celebrate only the young and “traditionally beautiful,” kudos are due to the event’s organizers for showcasing a spectrum of women of all shapes, colors, sizes, and ages–and, importantly, without skinny-shaming. Competitors, take notice: this is what body positivity looks like, and it looks incredibly beautiful.

Elsa Pataky simply must have an amazing metabolism (at least, that’s what we’re telling ourselves in order to feel better).
The 38-year-old beauty, who welcomed twin boys Sasha and Tristan with husband Chris Hemsworth in March, strips down to barely there lingerie for a new fashion short film—and her body is absolutely bangin’.
The video, appropriately titled Dark Seduction, was made for the Spanish brand, Women’s Secret, which offers sleepwear, lingerie, accessories and swimwear, and clearly, Pataky is proud of her involvement.
“It’s an honor being a part of this project. I grew up with them and I bought my first bra at Women’s Secret,” Elsa said (via Daily Mail). “Everything about it is Spanish and I’m Spanish, I’m very proud of being Spanish.”

The nearly five-minute clip shows Elsa painting in her home before she heads to her closet to pick out an outfit for her dinner date that night. After perusing through her clothes with an exasperated expression, she hears the doorbell ring, only to find a package with a note which reads, “You’ll find everything you need for the night right here…”

Cue Pataky leaving little to the imagination as she models a black strapless bra and matching panties in a three-panel mirror before slipping in to a bevy of super sexy undergarments.

The blond stunner, who also has a 2-year-old daughter named India Rose with Hemsworth, even has a mini dance party in the mirror, to the tunes of Helena Goch, as she shows off her enviable figure.

In April, Pataky, who looked insanely slim just two weeks after giving birth, opened up about her post-baby workouts and revealed that she waited months to exercise her core after giving birth to her first child.
“In my case, a specialized postpartum physiotherapist recommended not to work my abs until they were totally joined again. As you know, when you’re pregnant the abdominals separate as the belly grows. So you have to wait for your abs to return to its initial position before you start doing ab work or otherwise there may be a lump, like a belly that never goes away. I started working my abs two long months (after delivery),” she explained, referring to her first pregnancy.

The actress also revealed that she is a huge fan of yoga and green juices, even sharing her go-to recipe. “The juice I like to drink once in a while and that helps me to clean my system is made with a blender: an apple, a carrot, some celery with the green leaves, a lemon without peel. Once it’s done, you add a few teaspoons of olive oil. Super good.”
Last year, the mother of three covered Women’s Health and revealed that she enjoys Pilates and Thai boxing, something she picked up from her hubby. “He helps train me. But I have to punch up,” she joked about Hemsworth’s 6’3 stature.
Safe to say the super-hot lovebirds are pros at staying fit together.
