Michigan International Women’s Show comes to Novi

NOVI, Mich. (AP) — The four-day Michigan International Women’s Show is set to open at a conference center in Novi.

The 19th annual event runs Thursday through Sunday at the Suburban Collection Showplace.

It features shopping, cooking, fashion shows, makeovers and hundreds of exhibitors displaying cosmetics, fragrances, lingerie, purses, shoes and more.

Among those expected to appear at the show are Patti Stanger of the Bravo reality series “The Millionaire Matchmaker”; and Jerome Brown, who’s been on Food Network’s “Extreme Chef” and ESPN’s “I’ve Got Skills.”

Admission is $10. Kids ages 6 to 12 are $5, and children 5 and under are admitted free with a paying adult.

Lingerie robbers bump into each other, start shooting

(KHOU-TV) Houston police held a special news conference Wednesday to talk about two particularly clumsy criminals wanted for firing shots inside a north Houston lingerie business.

“I have to say that in the seven years that I’ve been investigating robberies, these are by far some of the clumsiest crooks that I’ve seen in a long time,” said Jeff Brieden, Houston Police Department.

The suspects were among three men who walked into a Katz’s Boutique in the 9800 block of the North Freeway on April 13. It was around 3 a.m. and surveillance cameras were rolling.
