Lingerie Football League Previously Fired Ref Used As NFL Replacement

The Lingerie Football League revealed that one of the referees used as a replacement ref for the National Football League was actually fired from the LFL, an all-female football organization known for its skimpy uniforms and tough-as-nails players.
Mitch Mortaza, commissioner of the LFL, revealed Tuesday that NFL replacement ref Craig Ochoa had been fired from the Lingerie League. Mortaza said he was shocked to learn that a ref he had dismissed from the Lingerie League for poor performance is now an NFL replacement ref.
Ochoa was part of an entire officiating crew that Mortaza let go because of “several poorly called games.”
“They were hurting our overall broadcast caliber,” he told Yahoo! Sports. “And if it’s opening up our players for potential injury, those things raise red flags here. Is it hurting overall credibility? When either of those two things are compromised, it’s time to start thinking about parting ways.”
Ochoa was used during the NFL’s Hall of Fame marquee game, according to Yahoo! Sports. He has not been used in a regular season game, but is onboard as an alternate.
The NFL referee lockout began in June, when NFL refs were locked out of their jobs amid failed talks with the league over new contracts, Forbes notes. The NFL hoped to make refs fulltime, reduce their pay and cut their pensions. The plan served as a point of contention since the league rakes in about $10 billion per year. So, when talks failed, replacement refs were brought in for the start of the 2012/2013 season.
The replacement ref issue reached a boiling point during Monday Night Football when referee Wayne Elliott called a touchdown for the Seattle Seahawks, sending them to victory over the Green Pay Packers, 14-12.
Back in August, Mike Periera, former VP of Officiating for the NFL, noted that Ochoa had been fired from the LFL. At the time, the LFL did not comment. After the Seahawks-Packers game, the Lingerie League released an official statement about the use of replacement refs (via New York Daily News):
Due to several on-field occurrences of incompetent officiating, we chose to part ways with a crew which apparently is now officiating in the NFL. We have a lot of respect for our officials but we felt the officiating was not in line with our expectations… We have not made public comment to date because we felt it was not our place to do so. However in light of tonight’s event, we felt it was only fair that NFL fans knew the truth as to who are officiating these games.
Coaches and fans alike are worried about the safety of the players, as well as bad calls ruining a team’s shot at the Super Bowl.
The NFL also released a statement saying that the league “supports the decision not to overturn the on-field ruling following the instant replay review,” the Daily News notes.

They flew out of the country during the Queen’s Jubilee and now Gary Lineker and his wife Danielle are on holiday again, and they’re back in LA.
But the 51-year old, former football player and his 33-year old wife looked ready to walk down more than just an airport runway as they left the LAX airport in style.

Gary, favoured the double denim trend for his traveling outfit, choosing a dark blue faded shirt and black boot-cut jeans. He finished the look with brown leather boots and a pair of RayBan wayfarer sunglasses.
Welsh TV personality and lingerie model Danielle, dressed in an outfit more ready for the hot LA sun in a short grey slouch dress with a pair of black ankle boots, which together highlighted her already tanned legs.
To protect her eyes, the model instead opted for RayBan’s aviator style and carried a camel-coloured suede handbag to keep her documents, passport and travel essentials in.

The couple cut a much more stylish figure on this trip compared to their LA break back in June, which saw them in mismatched outfits that did nothing to complement their clearly trim bodies.
Only last week Danielle showed off her enviable frame as she joined other female celebrities in Asda’s 2012 Tickled Pink campaign, inspired by the iconic movie Grease and in support of the charities Breast Cancer Campaign and Breast Cancer Care.

Gary sure must feel like a lucky man after the stunning photos shows off his wife’s picturesque pins peeking out of a 1950s style halterneck prom dress.

Speaking about why she got involved with the campaign, Danielle said, ‘I
have had a close friend affected by breast cancer so I’m very proud to
be involved in Asda’s Tickled Pink campaign for the third year running,’
Meanwhile her husband this week has spoken out about John Terry’s decision to retire from international football.
The Leicester City hero described the Chelsea players choice as ‘sensible’ thing to do, saying on Twitter:
“He says FA have made his position untenable. [It was] probably a sensible decision,”
“Whatever you think about John Terry, he always gave his absolute all on the field for England. A strong leader and great defender.
Gary – who earned 80 England caps during his international career – believes Terry’s decision is understandable given the circumstances.
Now the former England captain and his wife of three years are out of the country they will no doubt be looking to forget the news and focus on their holiday.
And with three large suitcases they very well may be soaking up the sun for quite a long time.

And if we’re making stupid guesses at anyone’s relationship, I’d be in Gary’s corner (for a change, don’t even like the dude), I think this woman is hanging on desperately to Gary’s coat-tails for dear life, she knows that the minute he gets bored of her, he’ll be off and moving on, he willl always get the females as long as he’s on tv and famous, the bimbos like the power of the man, the bank account, the fame and so it goes on! Gary will soon have another girl, thats just how it rolls! I know it sounds lame, Gary will always want a poppet to be seen with, and there it is! Life eh?
