(July 9, 2015) For more than six decades, Nantucket artist David Hostetler has been celebrating the female form through his sculptures and paintings that can be found in collections all over the world. When the opportunity arose to combine his art with the femininity of lingerie, the idea to run with it seemed like a no-brainer.
“This one has a really upscale design, and we’ll put the two together,” Hostetler said of his art and Jane’s Vanity lingerie. “Since I only do women, it all works out.”
Tomorrow and Saturday, the Hostetler Gallery will be transformed into an intimate yet comfortable space showcasing not only Hostetler’s work, but the latest seasonal collections of hand-crafted European lingerie, loungewear and accessories.
