While the rest of us were celebrating Memorial Day by eating our weight in hot dogs and Instagramming the mustard-soaked carnage, Lena Dunham was busy posting pics of a totally other sort of buns.
Ahem.
The “Girls” star hopped on Instagram to share this very sexy photo of herself in some pretty lingerie. Why? For freedom, that’s why.
“Love my @lonelylingerie and I think I will wear it to dinner with some boots a smile because we are all very lucky to be free,” Lena wrote, presumably before doing exactly that.
As always, Lena’s particular combo of sass and body-positivity is charming to see. (And hopefully, wherever she was going to dinner was luckily free of dress codes vis-a-vis the acceptability of eating in your underwear.)

Her new designs are as feminine and classic as always and come in bright berry and mint green hues made with the softest of silks.
Her pants and bras, which have become best-sellers for the high street giant, come adorned with intricate lace and floral designs echoing the great British summer.
Indeed, Marks Spencer last week reported its first increase in annual profits for four years, kick-started by strong fashion sales, including Rosie’s undies.
The firm said underlying profits were up by 6.1 per cent to £661.2million in the first quarter of 2015, helped in part by the success of Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s underwear range.

And in a sign of renewed enthusiasm for MS fashion, a £199 suede skirt – worn by model Alexa Chung and New York socialite Olivia Palermo – sold out shortly after arriving in shops this month.
The ‘must-have’ mid-length skirt, from the Autograph range, hit the headlines in March and reportedly attracted a waiting list of thousands.
This year MS saw its first annual increase in clothing sales since 2011, with a rise of 0.6 per cent between January and February compared with the same period in 2014.

The Rosie for Autograph underwear collection, designed by model Miss Huntington-Whiteley, 28, sold nearly 400,000 items over the first three months of 2015, up 108 per cent on the previous year.
Rosie, aside from starring in Mad Max, joined fashion photographer Amanda de Cadenet to mark her 43th birthday with a host of her celebrity pals on Sunday alongside the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Demi Moore.
