According to the National Retail Federation, the average person celebrating Valentine’s Day this year will spend $142.31 on pleasantries like flowers, candy, apparel and more — the number is up from $133.91 last year.
While chocolates, cards, and flowers can be found around just about any corner this time of month, lacy underthings aren’t quite as easy to come by. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Here are five places to shop for Valentine’s Day lingerie.

Macy’s
Offering lines like DKNY Intimates, B.Tempt’d and Linea Donatella, the intimates selection at Macy’s ranges from sexy lingerie to shapewear and pajamas.

Rue Violet
While you can’t regularly shop local lingerie line Rue Violet in stores, you can stop by a trunk show at the Pattern store on Feb. 13 for last-minute Valentine’s Day purchases. Rue Violet is also taking pre-orders now through Feb. 12 for pick-up at the store. The line’s best-seller is a garter belt available in several prints and colors.

There’s never a bad time of year to buy lingerie. You could, however, argue that February is the best time, especially this 2015, when we’re all shades of crazy for “50 Shades of Grey.” Whether you have your very own Christian Grey waiting to see you in his office or you’re just waiting on your own in the lobby of love for eternity and beyond, feeling sexy is not a privilege, it’s a right.
We’ve updated our list of Miami’s best lingerie stores, arranged from north to south, for those of you who prefer a tantalizingly tactile experience while shopping. (Unless you’re into buying intimates on the internet, in which case here’s a handy guide). It wasn’t a huge overhaul, we’ll admit, but we did add in two more budget friendly options- Forever21 and Free People- because that one night stand you just met at the bar should not merit you shelling out more for your undergarments than the dress over them.
