There are a lot of surprising people who have turned their creative talents toward hotels, from celebrities to restaurateurs to fashion designers. So we were intrigued, if not actually shocked, to learn that the Hotel Vice Versa in Paris was decorated head to toe by lingerie designer Chantal Thomass, known for her sassy and glamorous wares. This choice in designer seems entirely fitting for Paris, and we have to say, we’re pretty impressed with the result of her efforts. The 37-room boutique has a seven deadly sins theme, one per floor, with heaven in the lobby and hell (with a steam room) in the basement. What do you think of this hotel’s playful, fun style?

Finally, lingerie comes in more than one ‘nude’

“Nude” is a common color when you hit up the lingerie department, and ladies love those shades … but if you’re anything other than pale or tan, you may be out of luck when it comes to getting them to match your skin tone.
Ade Hassan, the founder of London-based lingerie company Nubian Skin, saw an opportunity in those missing shades. In 2013, she started thinking about what she could do about it — and in September of 2014, she debuted a business that was devoted to making lingerie and hosiery for women of many different skin tones. The shades, called Berry, Cinnamon, Caramel and Cafe au Lait, are helpfully paired with makeup shades on the Nubian Skin website so women can easily detect which one would be their perfect match.
Bras go up to 36DD and briefs to XL, and the company is also seeking feedback from customers who want a wider range of sizes. They are also considering custom-made options as well.
“One of the things that I hope Nubian Skin helps women of color realize is that your skin color is beautiful, no matter what tone,” Hassan said in the YouTube video.
