Dita Von Teese‘s latest Destination Maternity lingerie line has the burlesque dancer thinking about her own potential maternity wardrobe. But first things first—she’s got to meet the right guy before that can happen!
“It’s just not always easy to find the right person to align yourself with and to make that decision to have a kid—especially with someone like me who’s made my living off of striptease for the past 20 years,” Von Teese told E! News while celebrating her new Von Follies collection at the Destination Maternity flagship store in New York. “It’s something I am defiantly thinking about; having a baby and wearing this collection.”
The 42-year-old lingerie designer also opened up about launching her Von Follies by Dita Von Teese for Destination Maternity line, noting the idea behind the designs was all about giving new moms the ability to feel sexy.

“Lingerie for me has not been about seduction or putting it on for someone else. It’s just something I always loved and it’s symbolic of womanhood and femininity,” Von Teese explained. “Why wouldn’t a new mother want to have options? It’s about giving women options. I am not saying you can’t wear the white cotton maternity bras, and I am not going to say I won’t have one in my drawer too, but it’s good to have options.”
But dressing sexy is only half of it—staying healthy is the hard part! And Von Teese explained just how she keeps up her svelte figure in tip-top shape, explaining, “I eat clean and always do Pilates.”
And coming from Von Teese, whose hot physique never disappoints, we’d say that’s full-proof advice.

It’s Lingerie Fashion Week—a chance to see lingerie designers from around the globe and witness a lingerie-as-ready-to-wear fashion show (something you’ll otherwise only see in music videos from the 1980’s). The song is wrong; everyone does not love a parade. The parades in New York (I’m looking at you Columbus Day Parade) mostly just make it impossible to ever cross Fifth Avenue, which is difficult because it is, you know, right in the middle of the city. But one is exempt from our hatred, and it is the Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade. To hell with seeing women wearing princess tiaras on a mediocre float—you can see poodles wearing tiaras, poodles dressed up as dinosaurs. E! personality Ross Mathews will do the judging. You can get behind Fall Fest at Citi Field even if you’re not a Mets fan. Really, you can get behind this even if you’re not a baseball fan. The Mets’ home turf is open for a day of family-friendly, fall-themed activities. That means there will be pumpkin carving and face painting, as well as a kids’ costume contest and apple dipping. Norman Mailer wrote that “the highest prize in a world of men is the most beautiful woman available on your arm,” so I really look forward to seeing what’s given to Don DeLillo, Billy Collins and Katrina vanden Heuvel, this year’s recipients of the Norman Mailer Prize. At Li-Lac Chocolates in Brooklyn, master chocolatier Anwar Khoder will show how to make old-school treats with recipes from the 1920s.
