Saucy high-street retailer Ann Summers has apologised after releasing a range of lingerie under the name Isis.

The company unwittingly branded the new range – which includes bras and thongs – with the same name as the extremist group, Islamic State (formerly known as Isis).

Ann Summers reportedly chose the name after the ancient Egyptian goddess.

The company apologised for any misunderstanding and said it did not intend cause offence.

A spokesperson for Ann Summers said told the Independent:

“Range names for our products are chosen far in advance of the collections landing in-stores and online. In this instance, the inspiration behind this range name was taken from the Ancient Egyptian goddess Isis.

“We acknowledge the unfortunate timing of this product launch in our store windows, however we in no way support or condone any act of terrorism or violence. We apologise for any offence caused.”

Amber Rose is extremely proud of her curvaceous figure and seems to love nothing more than showing it off.

So the 30-year-old model kicked off her Sunday by sharing a lingerie-clad selfie on Instagram.

‘Good morning,’ the wife of Wiz Khalifa said with the intimate snap of herself wearing a white bralette and lacy coral knickers, adding a kissing emoticon for good measure.

The recording artist is also draped in a muticoloured robe and appears to be wearing minimal make-up in the reflective snap she captured with her cell phone.

This selfie comes only a couple of days after Amber once again showed off her famous curves in celebration of her husband Wiz’s album Blacc Hollywood topping the charts.

The star posted a video to Instagram of herself in a skimpy swimsuit bouncing and gyrating in front of a portrait of her spouse to mark the occasion.

She captioned the short clip: ‘In honor of my Hubby’s #1 Album #blacchollywood’.

Amber begins the video seated as she bounces and twerks before standing up and looking at the painted portrait of her partner as she dances.

Wearing the small blue one-piece, she sports chunky sunglasses and moves her bottom to the beat.

And her social media followers seemed to be quite delighted by the display, with one commenter writing, ‘look at this national treasure’.

Meanwhile, Amber had a showstopping turn on the red carpet at the VMAs.

In
a chain-link creation, which showed off her voluptuous figure and
generous derrière, the dancer wowed the crowed as she struck a
series of seductive poses.

The
former girlfriend of Kanye West went on to reveal that her outfit had
been inspired by actress Rose McGowan, who had rocked a similarly skimpy
ensemble at the same event back in 1998.

Taking to Twitter to pay tribute to the Charmed star’s bold fashion statement, Amber wrote: ‘Thank u. for being a fabulous trendsetter u were truly my inspiration tonight.’

Rose famously made headlines for baring her behind in the string dress when she was dating shock rocker Marilyn Manson.

The
actress returned the compliment and tweeted: ’Happily passing the torch
to @muvarosebud #amberrose ignore the hand wringers. #punkasf***
#unapologetic @mtv.’

However,
the wardrobe choice didn’t sit well with the critics and was
subsequently placed atop of most of the fashion press’ worst-dressed
lists.
