LINGERIE brand Kayser has been slammed for blaming rape victims after it tweeted that women “should know what to expect” when they’re invited on a date.

This morning Kayser tweeted: “If a guy invites you over to watch a movie, you should know what they’re expecting.”

The tweet has been met with hostility online, with people taking to the social media service to air their outrage.

Writer Clementine Ford replied to the tweet: “And if you’d decided to have sex with your friend, you know… she should have expected that.”

“Maybe they’re expecting you to watch Shawshank Redemption. You’re right. Be safe.”

Writer Helen Razer tweeted: “I will never again purchase your garments. And baby, I go through hosiery like there’s no tomorrow.”

“Seriously. This is insane. DO you believe that women have no sexual agency and men cannot articulate their own desires?”

Twitter user @JointDestroyer wrote: “I will not stand for sexism and misogyny from the #Kaysermaleinsider! Not now, not ever.”

Another user @kedjie wrote “It’s really disappointing @kayserlingerie have stopped to sexist crap like that. Ladies, any tips on finding a new bra company.”

User @PixieKath wrote “Enlighten us please, what are they ‘expecting’ @jointdestroyer”.

The tweet was made at 11.30 this morning.

Kayser’s social media accounts are run by an external company that declined to be named.

The social media manager told News.com.au that the tweets were posted by a male intern and that the tweet was totally meant to be “tongue in cheek.”

She said that they had been trying to delete the tweet all day – which at 4.00pm was still active on their Twitter account but had not had any success.

When asked what other way people could interpret the tweet, the media manger told News.com.au they thought it meant that “if a guy invites you over to watch a movie it just means that he likes you.”

“The wording came across mistakenly,” the social media manager said. “Obviously I can see how it was taken in that contex, given the short character limits it’s how it came across.”

The spokesperson said they were concerned about how the tweet would be interpreted by its customers, particularly teenagers that purchase their lingerie.

“We will be rectifying the situation immediately,” the social media manager said.

The tweet has now been removed, and was replaced about 5pm with another that apologises for the comment, and giving it the hashtag “#honestmistake”.

Eva Longoria Dating? Lingerie Photos And Tweets Go Viral, Rumors Swirling …

A few days after Eva Longoria told her friend Mario Lopez that she is definitely not dating Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, fans are wondering what the sultry “Frontera” star is up to these days – or more to the point who she’s up to.

It’s clear from Longoria’s tweets that the staunch Obama supporter is busy working on inauguration parties – but with who?

“Tomorrow I’ll let you know about my plans for the inauguration – everyone will be invited! #LatinoInaugural2013,” she tweeted on January 7.

She’s also tweeted – and flirted, depending on how you look at it – with hotties Matt Kemp and Wilder Valderrama, saying:

“Let’s get my boy @TheRealMattKemp on the cover of MLB The Show! #mlb13KEMP Retweet to vote!”

And “Happy New year! @WValderrama Awaiting the New Year w/ my sister for life @evalongoria @BiminiBayMarina in the #Bahamashttp://instagr.am/p/T7NaSZSKh4/.”

Meanwhile, fans have been desperately trying to decode the tweets to figure out who’s on Longoria’s dating list. But she’s remained mum.

Two-and-a-half months after Longoria split with Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, the rumor mill is flying about who Tony Parker’s ex is dating. Let’s be honest, Longoria is rarely single for long. But after countless stumbles with younger men – including Parker, Sanchez and Eduardo Cruz – Longoria seems to be taking a much-needed break from the dating scene to concentrate on the film “Frontera” and her new TV show, which ironically is about dating.

The reality dating show, which is tentatively called “All About Love,” will feature professional matchmakers Amber Kelleher and Steve Ward of VH1′s cult favorite “Tough Love.”

“It’s designed to help real women get back into the dating pool,” a source told UsMagazine.com . “They’ve chosen single women and single mothers — women who have been through a series of heartaches and battles in life and have all but given up on finding one true love.”

Longoria was also busy shooting extremely hot lingerie pics for the December issue of GQ Mexico. “I hope that people think I’m beautiful for all the work I do concerning charity and philanthropy, or political activism,” the actress told GQ Mexico. “For me, these are the things that define beauty. Beauty lies, mainly, in someone’s personality, not on their skin.”

Well, Eva, it’s going to be hard to convince your male fans of that. Take a look at a steamy behind-the-scenes video from the GQ shoot here…
