Ashlee Simpson is back and better than ever!

Four years after the release of her third studio album, Bittersweet World, the 28-year-old singer gave fans a sneak peek of her new music video, “Bat for a Heart,” on Oct. 31.

“As promised, here’s a little tease of what’s to come!” Jessica Simpson‘s little sister tweeted. “In this tease I do drop the F bomb, so you’ve been warned!”

In the 50-second teaser, the slim blonde rocks a variety of looks, including a tattered tee and lingerie, an ivory mask and a loose-fitting striped tank top.

Ashlee — whose parents filed for divorce in September after 35 years of marriage — spoke to Us Weekly about her new music at Wet Republic in Las Vegas Sept. 8.

“It’s interesting because there’s two sides of it — there was a side that was a bit more folky, but lately it’s been a bit more dance,” Simpson (mom to Bronx, 3, with ex-husband Pete Wentz) said of her the album’s sound. “It’s more of an electronic feel.”

Simpson is planning to unveil the full-length song and video on Nov. 21.

Hot Topic Launching ‘Blackheart’ Lingerie Line For The Romantic Mall-Goth In …

Quiz: Which of the following products can you buy at your local mall’s Hot Topic?

  1. A sparkly turquoise #YOLO wallet.
  2. Suspenders decorated with mustaches.
  3. Dubstep t-shirts.
  4. Sexy lingerie to impress your sweetie.
  5. All of the above.

Soon it’ll be #5, as Women’s Wear Daily reports that the suburban mall-Goth outpost is launching its own line of lacy Blackheart bras and panties to seduce your favorite Juggalo.

With the “Love You to Death” tagline, Blackheart’s edgy unmentionables, which already have a website, are aimed at 18-30 year olds who want an alternative to boring homeroom-style white Jockeys. Though the chain itself reported third quarter earnings this year, Hot Topic will sell the subversive lingerie in separate Blackheart stores starting Nov. 15 in select locations in California and Texas. And it’s affordable, too: bras will be priced from $29.50 to $44.50, panties $8.50 to $14.50, apparel $19.50 to $78 and accessories $5 to $29.50.

Soooo… what does Hot Topic’s lingerie look like? The retailer already offers cartoonish-type underwear, but Blackheart is more like Victoria’s Secret Pink went for a smoke under the bleachers. So far we’re seeing skull-print briefs, pink lacy bras and plenty of eyeliner. (According to CNBC, it’s all an attempt to further cash in on teen tastes for darker merch, a la the “Twilight” craze.)

And hey, if you never thought you’d see “Hot Topic” and “seductive underthingies” in the same sentence, well, mall Goths need love, too.

Get a sneak peek of the new line — and the so-edgy teaser video– below… would you sport it?

“Everyone in my high school bought flared black pants and satin button-downs there (it was the ’90s), but I haven’t bought anything there since 2001.” – Jessica Misener, HuffPost Style editor (Getty photo)

  • 5-7-9

  • Benetton

“Benetton in the 90s! Big sweaters for everyone… Diesel for a regrettable moment in the early 00s, then realized I looked like a European tourist everywhere I went, so that was shelved. And I used to stock up on tanks at American Apparel in 2004-5, and now the store looks like the wardrobe department for A Different World.” – Brie Dyas, Stylelist/Stylelist Home senior editor

  • Limited Too

“I used to loooove Limited Too, until I realized that not everything is made better with “LTD2″ logos strewn all over it. Also, I grew.” – Ellie Krupnick, HuffPost Style associate editor

  • Abercrombie Hollister

“In high school my friends and I were all about Hollister and Abercrombie. If you didn’t wear it you might as well have crawled in a hole and died. So I was pretty much stocked up on seagull and moose donned polo shirts, plaid shorts and skirts.” – Nicole Guzzardi, Stylelist Home intern

  • French Connection

“I used to shop at French Connection until I realized that all of the clothes are cut for American Girl Dolls.” – Rebecca Adams, HuffPost Style associate editor
