She is the Victoria’s Secret model famed for her perfect figure so it came as no surprise that when she launched her debut lingerie range it was set to sell well.

But women were so desperate to get their hands on a pair of the slinky undergarments that it has become Marks and Spencer’s fastest selling underwear range of all time.

Rosie for Autograph hit shelves last week, and has been described by MS as ‘surpassing all sales expectations’.

The range has taken the fashion world by storm with some of the most popular pieces from the Twenties-inspired collection almost selling out after just one day of sales.

The most iconic pieces so far in the collection are the light taupe silk pad bra and the floral kimono as savvy shoppers rushed to the high-street to purchase the popular pieces.

‘Following the launch in stores and online, we are delighted with the overwhelming positive reaction that the Rosie for Autograph collection has received,’ said Soozie Jenkinson, head of lingerie design at Marks and Spencer.

‘We can’t wait to share the next collection, which hits MS stores in October.’

The supermodel and Victoria’s Secret
Angel made an appearance at the Marks Spencer store on London’s
Oxford Street last week to officially unveil the range, which she said were
created with women of ‘all shapes and sizes’ in mind.

The Devon-born model and actress
collaborated with the British brand’s infamous lingerie design team to create a
33-piece collection of silk lingerie sets, camisoles and French knickers and kimono-style robes decorated with rose-print motifs and deco-inspired detailing.

At
the time the collaboration was announced Rosie said: ‘MS is an
iconic British brand, adored by many so I’m very excited to be launching
my debut lingerie line with them.’

MS said that Rosie For Autograph ‘encompasses
the chic and sophisticated look synonymous with the Autograph brand,
combined with the expertise and inspiration drawn from Rosie’s extensive
experience in the fashion industry’.

Ms
Huntington-Whiteley said: ‘To find inspiration for the collection I
trawled my favourite vintage shops and flea markets in London, LA and
Paris where I found a treasure trove of gorgeous clothes and ornate
pieces of jewellery, as well as pictures and patterns found in old
design books and fashion magazines.

‘I was particularly drawn to the
opulent elegance of the Twenties era which really shows in my designs
from the sumptuous silks I chose to the intricate deco-inspired
embroidery detailing on the garments.

‘The
palette was not only inspired by my favourite Twenties pieces, but also
it was largely influenced by the rich colours of different types of
roses. From the muted tones of dusky pink and green through to dramatic
scarlet blooms, I wanted the palette to evoke the beauty of a gorgeous
British garden in summer.

‘I also drew on my experiences as a
model to create lingerie pieces that work on the body and are as
comfortable to wear as they are beautiful. My goal was to create a
luxurious collection which could flatter women of all ages and sizes, inspiring confidence and making women feel gorgeous in their lingerie. I
made sure each design incorporated different shapes of bra and knicker
together with camis and kimonos to complement the figure.’

MS head of design for lingerie
Soozie Jenkinson said: ‘It’s been a great experience working together
with Rosie. She is as passionate about beautiful lingerie as we are.

‘We have combined Rosie’s ideas with
our extensive expertise in lingerie design and development to create a
truly luxurious collection which is not only beautiful but also
extremely accessible and affordable for our customers.’

Ahead of the launch, 25-year-old Rosie shared
her top tips on how to best style one’s lingerie – with the priority on
getting properly fitted, which is something her new bosses at MS can no
doubt help with.

The
right knickers are key, she says, with thongs being the sexy option,
Brazilian cut (the style that became Marks Spencer’s surprise
success story last year) best for trousers, French for curvy girls, and
shorts for those with a boyish figure.

MS released a 40-second clip of
the Rosie modelling the anticipated selection on 10 August. In the clip,
the model-turned-designer revealed a bit about her love for lingerie.

‘I
love everything about lingerie, I’ve always had a thing for it,’ she
said. ‘It is completely feminine, it’s something for women, it’s ours
and it’s a little secret.’

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley’s lingerie collection for M&S is road-tested by our …

STUNNING Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is the latest supermodel to flash her
knickers in public.

Like Kelly Brook, Caprice and Elle Macpherson before her, she has just
brought out a range of sexy smalls.

Rosie
launched her saucy collection of lingerie for MS on Thursday
.

The 25-year-old Transformers star and former Victoria’s Secret “angel” was
more than happy to model the pieces from her Rosie For Autograph range which
works “for all women, all ages, all sizes”.

But does it?

Here GABRIELE DIRVANAUSKAS gets teaching assistant Michelle De-Villiers — a
size 14 and 36C — to go undie-cover and test various superstar sets for
size.

Michelle, 23, from Peckham, south London, also gives her verdicts.

MICHELLE SAYS: I love the vintage style of this collection. It looks
classy and feels expensive even though it isn’t pricey. You can pick up a
bra and knicker set for under £35.

Kelly Brook for New Look

Kelly Brook

MICHELLE SAYS: This set is such a bargain. I find it hard to find well
fitting sets for my cup size on the High Street. But Kelly Brook has worked
wonders. This range caters for girls with curves like mine.

Kelly Brook for New Look: bra, £14.99, knickers, £9.99

Elle Macpherson Intimates

Elle Macpherson

MICHELLE SAYS: I’m surprised Elle isn’t putting her money where her
mouth is and modelling her own designs. The set is pretty but not very sexy.
They’re best for day wear, not the bedroom. And they’re the priciest of the
lot.

Elle Macpherson Intimates at John Lewis: bra, £36, briefs, £21

By Caprice

Caprice

MICHELLE SAYS: Only Caprice can pull off a set as garish as this. But I
don’t feel very sexy in it. It may be every lads mag’s dream to see a girl
trussed up like this, but I don’t think it’s sophisticated.

By Caprice: Precious Cappy pink gel bra, £24, briefs, £14

ROSIE has stuck to her word and delivered a lovely collection that really
flatters size 14 Michelle.

It proves her Rosie For Autograph designs aren’t just for waifs. The classy
cut and colours complement curves.

And Kelly Brook’s vintage-inspired pieces for New Look are close runners-up.
Her range’s retro style particularly suits fuller-figured girls. And these
designs really do flatter curves, something Kelly knows a thing or two about.

Although Elle Macpherson’s lacy Intimates lingerie comes up small, the set is
super feminine.

But Caprice’s garish hot pink designs, from her By Caprice line, look more
trashy than classy.
