Women pretty soon become regulars at lingerie boutique

USE your Buy Local loyalty card to sample the savings on offer at a Cleethorpes boutique once and you are sure to become a regular customer.

Sharon Pratten, who is the owner of Pretty Woman Lingerie, in Sea View Street, has seen a surge in new customers since she began offering cardholders 10 per cent off all non-sale items.

She said: “We’ve definitely seen an increase in footfall since we joined the Buy Local scheme and we’ve found that once people have visited us they tend to come back repeatedly.

“We find that once customers have seen the transformation a professionally fitted bra can make they often return, usually bringing a friend with them for us to fit, too.

“Never a day goes by where we don’t see a new customer, and they’ve usually been recommended by a friend or family member who has told them to visit us.”

And Sharon, of Tetney, believes Pretty Woman Lingerie has a range of products to suit all women of any age, including lingerie, swimwear, nightwear, bridal lingerie, hosiery and control wear.

She said: “We provide friendly and professional lingerie fittings.

“Our four qualified consultants each have a passion for ensuring that customers are happy with their bra fitting, and overall experience with us.

“Our skills and expertise use the ‘eye’ rather than the tape measure, and we are proud to offer a unique service unlike any other store in the area.”

Sharon set up Pretty Woman Lingerie from her home 11 years ago and initially specialised in bridal lingerie. Business soon took off and she moved to the premises in Sea View Street nine years ago.

The boutique is currently awaiting the arrival of new autumn/winter lingerie styles.

Gift vouchers and complimentary gift wrapping are available and parking is available at the Wardall Street car park to the rear of Sea View Street.

Pretty Woman Lingerie is open Monday to Saturday, from 9.30am to 5pm.

Rosie Huntington-Whitely collects vintage lingerie

The stunning actress-and-model graces the front cover of Elle magazine’s upcoming September issue and spoke of her love of vintage lingerie.

As a Victoria’s Secret Angel, the 25-year-old is somewhat of an expert on the subject and is set to launch a ‘20s inspired underwear range for British high street chain Marks Spencer this September.

“Find out why Rosie collects vintage lingerie, how her sisters inspire her and what she found most challenging about her first film role,” ElleUk.com teased about the upcoming cover story.

In the accompanying shoot, Rosie can be seen posing in high fashion garments by Burberry, Dolce Gabbana and Jil Sander, as well as some of her own lingerie designs.

Wearing minimal make-up and with her mane flying in the wind, the blonde beauty looks stunning in a set of floral hot pants and matching jumper as she poses on the cover.

However, it was the Transformer star’s attitude and charisma that most impressed the Elle team.

“Yes, the model/actress is undeniably stunning. What really stopped interviewer Rebecca Lowthorpe in her tracks, however, was Huntington-Whiteley’s raw determination, combined with that legendary beauty,” the publication writes.
