Whether you’re celebrating Valentine’s Day with a woman who you’d like to see in lingerie, or celebrating an average Wednesday with a woman you’d like to see in lingerie, here’s a four-point guide to buying lacy things she’ll love to wear. Because if you want to spice up your sex life, fancy lingerie beats a firm wedge every time (we see you, Aziz Ansari). It’s a skill all straight dudes should master.
If you live together, you’re probably approved to respectfully rifle through her drawers in order to figure out what sizes she wears. If the relationship isn’t quite that serious, snoop within reason. Worst case scenario, you can guess at her sizes with the help of a salesperson at the store.

You can always go to a department store and swat at things blindly, sure. That said, if you zero in on a brand she loves, there’s a much greater probability that she’ll wear the stuff more than once. Think about that for a minute.
Here are some suggestions to get you started…
-If she wears more eyeliner than Adele…Fleur du Mal
-If she’s a little famous on Instagram…For Love Lemons
-If The Bachelor is her lifeblood…Victoria’s Secret
-If she’s been a cop for Halloween three years in a row…Agent Provocateur
-If she loves Sofia Coppola movies…Fortnight
-If she still occasionally smokes cigarettes…Kiki de Montparnasse
-If she smokes weed…Love Stories
-If she only drinks green tea…Eberjey
-If she has a Mrs. Robinson vibe…La Perla
-If she’s all that and then some but you only have $50 to spend…Topshop

A chemise (a.k.a. a see-through dress) or a camisole and briefs is a good choice if she’s on the modest side. On the other end of the spectrum there are bodysuits, corsets, and suspender belts—and various accessories that go with them. (All are easily lost and will surface again at only the most inappropriate moments.) If you end up breaking out in hives while shopping, a special-looking bra and briefs is a respectable choice, and still sexy.
Avoid sheepishly tossing her a plastic bag out of fear of rejection or laziness or both. Not that you need to sprinkle everything in rose petals either (ew). Just have what you bought wrapped—or wrap it yourself in nice tissue paper—and maybe add a sexy note? That alone should win you points.

This store combines two things with bounce under one roof.
A new Bushwick emporium is hawking sexy underwear for curvy ladies alongside trendy sneakers — a combination the store owner says just makes sense.
“Sneakers are sexy, sporty, and a little bit edgy,” said Laura Henny, founder of the Rack Shack, which will celebrate its new Central Avenue storefront at a boozy Feb. 12 bash. “I love to wear sneakers with garters and high-thigh pantyhose.”
Henny — a self-proclaimed lingerie and running-shoe enthusiast — decided to create the store after moving to the Borough of Kings from her native Amsterdam four years ago, only to find there was a drought of foxy undergarments for women above a certain cup size.
She was shocked that mainstream lingerie outlets in such a diverse city only sold bland, neutral-colored bras in her size, banishing her to browse fun and flirty items from online boutiques where she was unable to get properly fitted.
“I thought, ‘In New York you must have so many different women in different sizes, you must have all the choices in the world,’” she said. “Then I came here and that’s actually not the case.”
Henny left her day job as manager of popular neighborhood eatery Bushwick’s Living Room to pursue her dream of helping women of every cup size feel both comfortable and sexy. And while she was at it, she decided to include her passion for sporty footwear in the mix.
She eventually hopes to amass enough stock so that she can coordinate the sneakers with the underwear.
“I would love to make a lookbook of girls from the neighborhood, real women wearing the lingerie paired with the sneakers,” said Henny. “That is still a project that I’m working on.”
