Forget their brief stint in the Premier League around the turn of the century. Forget that remarkable run to the 2013 League Cup Final, when they were down in League Two.
Many Bradford City fans might consider the news they can now count Gigi Hadid as one of their own to be the best thing… well, ever.
That’s Gigi Hadid, the world famous Victoria’s Secret model. Most of the time, she poses in her pants for a living – apart from when she’s posing on social media IN AN ACTUAL BRADFORD TOP.

Admittedly, she was probably only wearing the top because it belongs to her current fella Zayn Malik, the Bradford boy who used to be 20% of One Direction.
But still, the Bantams can now claim to have an unlikely celebrity among their followers. But not the unlikeliest. Not by a long stretch…
Justin Bieber and Everton
One tweet from a ludicrous pop star, and The Toffees were suddenly robbed of the credibility they had spent decades developing:

Tom Hanks and Aston Villa
This is a genuine quote from Hanks:
“I fell in love with Aston Villa because I thought the name sounded like an island off Sardinia.”
Well, it’s as good a reason as any for supporting Villa.
Snoop Dogg and Man United
Well, we SAY Man United. Sadly, in Snoop’s case, we could have picked any number of clubs…
Will Ferrell and Chelsea
Ferrell actually played “soccer” as a kid, so apparently knows a little bit about the game. Not enough to realise those shorts are unacceptable, mind you.
Spike Lee and Arsenal
We don’t like jumping to conclusions, but Spike is perhaps the only name on this list who genuinely likes football. He supposedly even wanted to get Thierry Henry to appear in one of his films.
Well, Thierry does have plenty of va va voom…
Sylvester Stallone at Everton
An American shareholder at Everton took Sly to a game in 2007, while he was promoting the final Rocky film.
Did he enjoy it? Well, put it this way. He probably didn’t need method acting to play his character in Escape to Victory: the goalkeeper who doesn’t know what a corner is.
Sugar Ray Leonard at Stoke
One of the greatest boxers of all time, at Stoke v Chelsea, back in 2008.
Nope, no idea.
Elijah Wood and West Ham
Some cynics would say Elijah Wood only appeared at Upton Park to publicise his stomach tighteningly awful “hooligan” film, Green Street.
We’re saying nothing.
Mike Myers and Liverpool
The parents of Mr Austin Powers are both from Liverpool… so he’s as entitled to support the club as a lot of you currently reading this.
Katy Perry and West Ham
OK, so Katy Perry is only wearing this West Ham outfit because she was married to famous Hammer Russell Brand at the time.
Still, we make no apologies for including her in this list…

MUSKEGON, MI – Paul Alan Columbus has been sentenced to prison for the gunpoint holdup of a lingerie and sex-toy store two blocks from his Norton Shores home.
Muskegon County Chief Circuit Judge William C. Marietti on Dec. 21 ordered Columbus, 52, to prison for seven to 25 years after Columbus pleaded no contest Oct. 16 to armed robbery as a fourth-time habitual offender.
Columbus was arrested about 11:30 p.m. June 19, after police coaxed him out of his home in the 5400 block of Grand Haven Road following a six-hour standoff. Columbus, who was unarmed and alone when arrested, surrendered after a Michigan State Police armored vehicle smashed in a window with a pole. No one was injured. He was not charged in connection with that.
Columbus was sentenced for robbing Cirilla’s, a lingerie and sex-toy shop at 1050 E. Sternberg Road in Norton Shores, about 11:55 p.m. June 13. The store is near his home.
Norton Shores police said a man robbed Cirilla’s at gunpoint while dressed in camouflage, wearing a mask. He made off with an undisclosed amount of money and fled on foot.
Police located Columbus at his home about 5 p.m. June 19, but he didn’t respond to repeated orders from law enforcement to come out of the house, nor would he answer phone calls, Norton Shores Police Chief Jon Gale said at the time.
Columbus has earlier felony convictions of larceny in 2006, uttering a false instrument in 2007 and possession of a firearm or ammunition by a felon in 2007, all in Florida; and larceny in a building in 2012 and no-account check in 2013, both in Muskegon County.
