The 30-year-old is currently on tour on her Prismatic World Tour and the pop star is now in Australia. Her photo was definitely Lolita-inspired as the hairdo showed how she was feeling as well as the caption. Perry wrote: “Feeling v Lolita rn [right now].”
The photo has been retweeted for more than 24,000 times ever since she has uploaded the photo on Thursday.
The singer rarely posts selfies of her and this is one of the rare moments she has shared a private time with her fans as she uploaded it on her social media accounts.
Lolita has been written back in 1995 by Russian novelist Vladimir Nabokov and it has been one of the most popular and controversial book sin the world as it is about a sexual relationship between a man and his 12-year-old stepdaughter.
Perry has once talked about her obsession with the character of Lolita that she even went to the extent that she named her branded set of false eyelashes after her beloved character.
The book has been adapted into movies several times back in 1962 and 1997.
This is not the first time that the star has patronized her character as the cover art of her 2008 album called “One of the Boys” was actually from the movie of Kubrick adapting Lolita.
She also talked about It in her blog “Buzznet” back in 2008 as she wrote: “As many of you readers know… I am mildly obsessed with the character Lolita. I have studied this woman’s every move. I found her a most fascinating creature…she was young and innocent but had a bit of a sex kitten in her and knew exactly how to use it.”

“What is really great about the high street is that it encourages people to step outside the box a bit. They can wear whatever they want.”
The event at the High Street venue, which is Oxford Fashion Week’s official bar, promised to inspire visitors’ autumn and winter wardrobes.
Collections displayed on the runway included Karen Millen, L.K. Bennett, Reiss, Jigsaw, Phase Eight and Hobbs.
All eyes were on Ukraine-native Angelina Pavlyuchenko as she took to the catwalk wearing Phase Eight.
The English language student from Kidlington said she enjoyed the limelight after years as a professional rhythmic gymnast as a child.
Miss Pavlyuchenko, 22, said: “I like to be in the centre of everybody’s attention. I like to pose in front of crowds, I feel very confident, it makes me excited.”
She said she was inspired to take part after six years in the modelling industry.
Oxford Brookes University student Eleanor Clarke said Oxford’s growing fashion scene spurred her on to delve into the industry.
The 20-year-old, who lives in Headington, said: “I just think fashion is becoming quite a thing in Oxford.
“More and more people are knowing about Oxford Fashion Week and more and more people are getting excited about going and wanting to go to the shows.”
The week began on Wednesday with its Lingerie Show, followed by the Independent and Couture shows yesterday.
Tonight spectacular designs and stunning displays are set to amaze audience at the Birds of Paradise show, the week’s grand finale.
Models will walk among the displays at Oxford Museum of Natural History from 7pm, wearing collections from designers including Xiaolin Design, Vagabond Couture, Korlekie, Anne van den Boogaard, Grace Golding and Laura Stoeckl.
