An increasingly conventional sense of style has won Helen Flanagan an altogether different kind of attention over recent weeks - but it was something entirely different that caught the eye during her latest outing.

The 24-year-old actress was stepping out in Manchester, where she splashed out on a number of racy lingerie items from a local branch of Agent Provocateur.

But as she made her way back to her car it was the dual purpose mobile phone case, complete with vanity mirror, which overshadowed another low-key ensemble comprised in its entirety of muted black items.

The garish accessory proved to be a focal point of sorts, and it rarely strayed from beneath Helen’s nose as she scanned her phone for messages.

With her long ombre locks naturally parted, the former Coronation Street star looked subdued in a loose fitting blouse and matching leather shorts.

Black tights and leopard print deck shoes completed a low-key outfit for Helen, who appears to have made a concerted effort to tone down her quirky image.

At large: But Helen has toned down her usually quirky image with a series of low-key conventional ensembles

Gone was the Kardashian-esque contouring she once favoured, replaced by a muted and rather frugal application of foundation and eyeliner.

Soft red lipstick added to a simple, understated look for Helen – whose large handbag from luxury leather goods brand Aspinal of London gave her ensemble a tasteful flourish.

Helen recently told MailOnline that she had decided to be more private for the sake of her footballer boyfriend Scott Sinclair.

She explained: ‘I’m not really on Twitter and Instagram as much at the moment because I do want to keep things to be a little bit more private with me and Scott.

‘I know I still put pictures up of us but I think it’s nice to have your relationship a little bit more private.

‘I used to be addicted to Instagram. I literally used to be on it all the time so it’s probably a good thing I’ve taken a bit of a break from it.

‘I have my own private account for really really close friends and family.

‘No one will be able to find it because I’m under a really random name so it’s nice to be able to share more private moments on that.’

As a Summer Bay stalwart her character Sasha Bezmel is no stranger to stripping down to her swimwear.

But on Tuesday Home And Away actress Demi Harman looked like she’d swapped her bikini for a bed wear as she rocked up on the show’s Palm beach set donning a racy lace camisole.

Dressed in a colour popping hot pink camisole the 21-year-old looked like she’d forgotten to leave her naughty nightie at home, as she filmed the scenes for the hit show.

The Brisbane born actress teamed the figure-hugging bodice with a pair of cut-off black denim shorts and a pair of trainers – a look that wouldn’t have looked out of place in the party soaked sands of Ibiza.

But Demi wasn’t dancing to strobes lights.

The brunette beauty appeared to be in distress as she stood at the edge of the sands casting her gaze onto the shoreline.

Her chestnut mane was part up, part down with plaits framing her pretty face, while her wrists were adorned with chunky monochrome bangles.

In a series of accompanying shots the actress who is dating Matt, played by Alec Snowdon, both on and off screen, looked concerned as if she was hunting for someone.

At one stage climbing back up the beach the brunette beauty, who has left a trail of broken hearts in her wake since she washed up on the show in 2011, is seen clutching at her stomach as she looks down at her feet.

Another picture shows the illegitimate daughter of Sid Walker holding her chest, emotion written across her face.

In the final two images the tear stained actress hugs a mystery man close.

The dark haired man’s face is hidden from the camera but the pair looked intimate as Demi nestles her head into his shoulder.

Troubled teen Sasha has had bad luck with the boys since debuting on the show.

She killed her abusive first boyfriend on the show in self defence, had a failed romance with Xavier Austin and then a pregnancy scare with Casey Braxton.

She then dated Spencer Harrington, the ex-boyfriend of her friend Maddy Osbourne, now she’s with Alec Snow’s character Matt.
