Martha Hunt Unveils Swarovski Lingerie Ahead of the 2015 Victoria’s Secret …

Martha Hunt isn’t just getting her first-ever Angel wings this year—she’s getting one of the shows’ top honors.
As if being one of the freshly crowned ten new Angels weren’t already huge, Martha will also sport the blinged-out, bespoke Swarovski lingerie creation at the fast-approaching 2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. To put it in plain English: It’s the number two honor in the show, second only to being chosen to model the Fantasy Bra. And just one day out from the highly-anticipated event, WWD is offering up an up-close look at the majorly luxurious piece, plus some insight as to the craftsmanship that went into the ornate design.

And as you might’ve already guessed, this is no ordinary corset—it’s handmade by Parisian couturier Serkan Cura, and adorned with more than 90,000 crystal embellishments.
“I know [in advance] who will wear each look,” Cura, who’s worked on the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show costumes for three seasons now, told WWD of his design process. “I take all the measurements, I make all the composites. It’s why you can see that everything fits perfectly, and the Swarovski crystals won’t hurt [the models'] skin…Everything is perfectly done. We gave so much energy and passion into each look.”

Oh, and let’s not neglect those luminous golden Angel wings either, which boast more than 20,000 crystal embellishments of their own in addition to the 130 feet of LED lights, 1,200 individual lights and (of course) a hidden battery pack.
“I’ve worn wings before, but these are special,” 26-year-old Hunt told WWD of the 19-pound wings. “They’re heavier than ever before and light up like a firework…”
Not to imply anything, but fellow Angel Lily Aldridge—who received the ultimate kudos of wearing the Fantasy Bra this year—did sport the Swarovski piece last year. So Martha: This could mean there’s a (potential) major promotion in the works for you next year!

Sneaky Pickpockets Caught On Camera In Beverly Center Lingerie Store

Two men and one woman were caught on video conducting what police called a “well-orchestrated” pickpocket inside a lingerie store at the Beverly Center.
NBC L.A. reports that the video, released Friday, was taken on October 23, and shows the two male suspects acting as the lookouts, while the female suspect did the actual stealing. Her strategy, a pretty smooth-lookin’ one, was to hold a bunch of clothes in her arms to hide the fact that she was reaching into the victim’s purse, and grabbing her wallet.
The video also shows the suspect going in again for more, stealing her cellphone, as the victim continued to browse, unaware. At the end of the video, we see the female suspect and one of the male suspects checking out what their loot in plain view of the surveillance camera.
CBS L.A. said that the suspect had no idea anything was missing until she went up to the register to pay; by that time, the suspects had gotten out of there. The slickness practiced by these pickpockets is cause for concern. Shopper Brooke Wolfe was shown the surveillance video by KCAL reporter and said, “I actually never zip my purse, it’s terrible, but I’m gonna start doing it now knowing what’s been happening.”
LAPD urges anyone who recognizes the suspects in the video to call the police department’s Wilshire Division.
