Former Victoria’s Secret Miranda Kerr got her hands on the Boomerang app and showed enthusiasm about its potential. The supermodel uploaded two videos of herself on Instagram and all 7.3 million followers started smiling.

Miranda Kerr, one of the world’s best paid supermodels, just got way more popular over social media. Why is that? Because Kerr was one of the first to get access to Instagram’s newly launched Boomerang app.

Boomerang is a photo stitching app that is intuitive and easy to use. With just the press of a button, your smartphone takes a burst of photos that Boomerang seamlessly stitches together. Instagram points out on its site that the result is neither a video, nor a GIF. It’s simply a Boomerang.

“A high-quality mini video that plays forward and backward” is easily created and can “come back to life again and again,” the developer points out. Whether you like a cute caption of your pets doing something ridiculously funny, an anniversary that you want to remember forever or a dynamic basketball move, Boomerang allows smooth recording of these events.

The Australian celebrity made good use of the new technology and recorded two videos, one in full color, and one in black and white. In the colored sequence, she sends a kiss to the camera while hypnotizing the viewers with a plunging push-up bra. In the good tradition of modeling shoots, her auburn hair was blow-waved for dramatic effect. The makeup artist chose to give Kerr a romantic appearance, with pink lipstick and long eyelashes.

The BW mini-video shows the mother-of-one happily leaping into the air, with a radiant expression on her face. In case you are curious, she wears the same outfit in both videos.

The 32-year-old wasted no time and uploaded the two videos on her Instagram page, which has an audience of no less than 7.3 million followers.

Kerr is not the only fashion icon that uses the app. Supermodel Karlie Kloss filmed a tantalizing bubble gum popping clip to showcase Boomerang.

Miranda worked with Victoria’s Secret until 2013 and currently ranks as the sixth best paid fashion model, according to a Forbes list. During the past 12 months, her revenues reached a breathtaking $5.5 million. She was married to famous actor Orlando Bloom and has a four-year-old son, Flynn.

For video enthusiasts, Instagram also launched Hyperlapse, a video recording app featuring advanced image stabilization, so that all your handheld footages get a cinematic, professional feel.

Whereas Boomerang works on Android and iOS, Hyperlapse is only available to Apple users.

The 36-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star was seen leaving the Beverly Hills store with a big shopping bag in her hand, indicating she splurged.
