Yes, Tuesday is Victoria’s Secret sexpot angel time, though the masses will have to wait until next month to watch the 20th annual lingerie extravaganza on TV. This is just the taping, including musical performances by The Weeknd, Ellie Goulding and Selena Gomez, after Rihanna abruptly canceled.

In all, 47 models were scheduled to strut the runway in 75 looks at a Manhattan armory later Tuesday, helping kick off the holiday season. But first, there was hair and makeup to be done and a “pink carpet” of celebrity guests to be walked. Caitlyn Jenner was among the expected, to cheer on daughter Kendall.
Among the showpieces teased in advance were Aldridge in a $2 million demi-bra of 18-karat gold, encrusted with 6,500 diamonds, blue topaz, yellow sapphires and other precious stones fashioned like blasts of streaky color worthy of July Fourth. It was this year’s iteration of the Fantasy Bra in a fireworks design created by jewelry company Mouawad.
Meanwhile, the folks over at Swarovski, one of the show’s sponsors, had a hand in a corset sparkling with 90,000 gold, red, green and blue crystals created by French couturier Serkan Cura. Hunt had the privilege of previewing the look she will don at showtime, along with her wings weighed down by 20,000 crystals of their own and 1,200 battery-powered LED lights. The battery pack she will lug weighs a reported 19 pounds.
The show will air Tuesday, Dec. 8, at 10 p.m. Eastern on CBS.

From lace tights to lace skirts and pants, it’s clear the delicate lingerie trend is dominating this season. We’ll teach you how to keep each item clean and fresh!
Lace Tights and Hosiery
- Turn the tights inside out. This will reduce pilling and can also help to prolong the integrity of the delicate fabric and intricate design.
- Learn to love the laundry bag. Placing the tights in a laundry bag will protect the item from twisting or stretching, which is a leading cause of dreaded runs, tears, or snags.
- Always select gentle. Pick a detergent like Tide Pods Free and Gentle and set the washing machine to gentle.
- Use warm water. Hot water can reduce the elasticity of the tights, which can cause stretched and saggy hosiery — no one wants that!
- Hang or lay out to air-dry. Do not, we repeat, do not twist or wring the tights. This will cause runs, snags, and stretching. Either lay the tights out flat on a lint-free towel of similar color, drape them over your shower curtain or on a towel rod, or hang them up on a clothes hanger. Make sure that they are evenly hung so one leg doesn’t stretch out further than the other.
Lace Skirts, Pants, and Tops
- Better safe than sorry. Make sure to check the tag on the garment for any special requirements before deciding to use the washing machine.
- Be sure to button any buttons, snap any snaps, or clasp any clasps before adding to the washer. This will help avoid having the fabric get caught on another garment or on the machine itself. Select the gentle cycle.
- Conserve energy and color! Choosing cold water is not only better for the environment, but it also helps to conserve the fragile fabric and color of the item.
- Shape and lay flat. If your top is structured, give it some shape when you lay it out to dry. If your item doesn’t need much help maintaining its shape, place on a clothes hanger and let air-dry.
