Racy in lace: Hollyoaks star Stephanie Davis poses in lingerie for a steamy new shoot for Zoo Magazine, while showing off her huge new chest tattoo

Steph looks full of confidence as she flaunts her stunning figure in the revealing magazine shoot.

Posing in black underwear, the actress’ new ink is also on display for the first time since she unveiled the trendy mandala design on her Twitter page last month.

In the accompanying interview the soap star is keen to set the record straight about her Hollyoaks exit, after producers announced in July that her contact had been terminated, just four months after she had signed a new one-year deal.

A spokesperson for Hollyoaks confirmed to the MailOnline at the time: ‘Stephanie Davis will no longer be filming Hollyoaks. Her contract has been terminated with immediate effect.’

Steph, who has played Sinead O’Connor on the show since she was 16, revealed that she had battled with being constantly tired while working six days of the week, as rumours swirled that bosses had had enough of her drinking and party lifestyle.

Speaking to Zoo, Steph explains that ‘it was ultimately my choice to leave! I just walked and then the producers told me if I didn’t come back they’d have no option but to terminate my contract, but that it was my choice. I regret the way it ended – I probably should’ve gone about it in a better way, but I was desperate for a break.’

The actress adds that she doesn’t feel her partying affected her work, explaining: ‘I’ve always had fun and when I started the show I did like to party, but I’m just like any normal 22-year-old and I’m sure everyone is the same as they’re growing up – everybody has to be 18 and a little crazy at some point.’

‘The drunken thing was there for people to believe if they wanted to but I know people in the industry know me for what I really am.’ 

As well as spending more time with her model boyfriend Sam Reece, with the couple busy house hunting this week, Steph has big plans for the future.

After getting her break on the BBC talent show Over The Rainbow, which searched for a new Dorothy for the West End production of The Wizard Of Oz, the actress has revealed she wants to return to her singing roots.

‘My passion has always been music, so I’ve been working with a few record labels and hopefully I’ll be in the studio soon and then I can look at releasing some tracks in the new year,’ she says. 

‘I’ve written some really good music and the only other person I know to make the jump from soaps is Kylie Minogue – so let’s try to do that!’

The actress has already been busy sharing some lyrics from her tunes on Twitter, posting this week:

‘Lyrics of one of my songs ‘Life is a funny thing, it makes you feel a lot of things, that you can’t understand.. But it’s all part of a plan.’
