While the world is still reeling under the effect of ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’, an American licensing firm has confirmed that the erotic novel themed lingerie, sleepwear and clothing will be coming to a store near you very soon.
According to TMZ, three separate companies have collaborated with author E.L James to sell the first-ever official Fifty Shades inspired apparel line, the Daily Mail reported.
A company called ‘HYP’ will be selling hosiery, garters, and tights, while another named ‘FREEZE Clothing’ will be selling the knits, tees, and hoodies. A third company ‘Briefly Stated’ will sell daywear, loungewear, sleepwear and underwear.
Meanwhile, James has also signed a deal with independent agency Caroline Mickler, giving them the responsibility for building the brand worldwide.
“The market’s interest in Fifty Shades of Grey as a brand is enormous,” Mickler was quoted as telling fashion blog fashionista.com.
“With continuing book sales and a film version keeping awareness high, we expect this property to make a very strong showing in a number of licensed categories over the coming months,” the agency said.
