MIAMI, June 19, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ –
The public display of lingerie has style experts split into two camps. Some feel it’s a sexy fashion statement and others say it’s a definite style faux pas. This week, a new designer line called Le BraZees renders the issue settled. Ladies…your public display of lingerie is finally O.K.

Le BraZees are an elastic strap design embellished with Swarovski crystals and pearls. Women simply replace cloth bra straps on their existing lingerie with BraZees straps. The website shows how easy BraZees slip into existing fabric loops on convertible, strapless and conventional bra styles. With over 20 dazzling designs, BraZees provide support and style. They add a touch of elegance to off-the-shoulder, solid and sheer asymmetrical casual tops and formal attire.

Le BraZees’ patented new design has never been seen before in the fashion industry and is set to raise the bar on women’s fashion accessories by eliminating the traditionally unflattering cloth or heavily jeweled, gaudy bra straps.

The Le BraZees product line was created by Spanish designer Marta Silvestre, who has been an artist and fashion designer in Europe and Latin America for more than 20 years. The daughter of the prominent Spanish painter Amando Silvestre, Marta grew up on the Mediterranean in an artistic family. She is influenced not only by the numerous artistic styles and techniques of her late father’s work, but by fashion trends emanating from the rest of Europe and the Americas. It was during her world travels that she recognized the need for a functional accessory line that is subtle yet elegant without being overbearing. This line merges artistic influences from her travels in Europe, Mexico and South America.

Women of any age can choose between the sleek Ibiza, Barcelona and Valencia Collections which include unique Swarovski crystal and pearl designs or choose from the Madrid Collection’s unique Essential and Night metal bead designs.

Don’t play peek-a-boo with unsightly bra straps. Regardless of preference, Marta Silvestre truly believes that the hundreds of satisfied clients cannot be wrong in their love for this new line of bra straps. Prices start at $20. Visit

Is giving lingerie for a bridal shower a faux pas these days?

BY: ELISE McINTOSH ELLEN T. WHITE

DEAR FEMMES: I’ll be going to my 30-year old niece’s bridal shower and bought a collection of very pretty lingerie to give her, in addition to another gift I bought from the registry. When I was having my hair done the other day, the women in the salon said that I would embarrass her if I give her lingerie and that giving lingerie at a shower is passe.

I have never heard this before. I have put a lot of thought and effort into buying her this lingerie, but I do not want to do anything to make her uncomfortable. What is your opinion?

A LOVING AUNT

ELISE:I never heard of that either. In my opinion, most brides-to-be expect, and enjoy, getting lingerie. As long as what you’ve picked out is in good taste — promise me, nothing that’s been described in “Fifty Shades of Grey” — by all means present it to her.

Though, you may opt to give that racy lace number in private if your niece is a bit shy, or if it’s at a “couple’s shower,” where men are invited, too. We wouldn’t want to give the groom’s buddies any visuals, now.

I wouldn’t worry about it, though. There can’t be anything more mortifying than the special piece of lingerie my friend received that was intended for her fiance to wear — from her mom, no less.

ELLEN:Well, I certainly got lingerie for my wedding shower — but then maybe I’m passe! There was lots of girlish giggling at the event. Much of the lingerie was, in fact, not in particularly good taste, but it was fun getting it anyway.

My favorites were the gorgeous silk and lace concoctions that came carefully wrapped up with a gift receipt, which I exchanged for the kind of prosaic underwear I really wear.
