Front Row Report: Britney Spears Unveils Lingerie Collection

Britney Spears took her empire to a whole new level at New York Fashion Week on Tuesday with the release of her lingerie collection, Intimates by Britney Spears. Her location of choice to present the line? Inside the New York Public Library at the Celeste Bartos Forum (the collection is fit for a sexy librarian, natch), where guests and press sat before a closed-curtain stage.

The Intimates by Britney Spears collection — which is divided into 10 themed lines (or as the website refers to it, “Intimate Stories”), named after and influenced by flowers, including Camellia and Ambrosia — featured models clad in sexy lace bras, sheer briefs, silk sleep wear and seductive suspenders fit for a 50 Shades of Grey moment. Bras retail in the $40 range, with thongs coming in at $20 and “other corsetry” topping out at $79. 

At the end of the presentation, the princess of pop, wearing a red jumpsuit, stepped out to tell the crowd that the collection has been her passion for the last two-and-a-half years, stating “hope you all enjoy as much as I have designing it” before scurrying offstage.

Though we didn’t know what to expect, there was one person in the crowd who put it best after the presentation: “Wow, a lot of the stuff actually seems wearable.”
