Egor’s Dungeon offers a small selection of lingerie, but the new store, Egor’s Mistress, will sell more, “upscale” lingerie, manager Paco Ceja said.

LAKEVIEW — Egor’s Dungeon is looking to go upscale.

The hole-in-the-wall adult toy and novelty shop at 900 W. Belmont Ave., open since the 1980s, changed owners in January, and new management plans to open a sister store evoking “old Hollywood,” said manager Paco Ceja.

Egor’s Mistress, 3023 N. Broadway, will open in several weeks and will not match the flavor of the Dungeon, Ceja said.

“It will be more upscale, with a larger lingerie section,” he said. “High-end lingerie.”

Ceja, who works as a teacher in the mornings, said new owners largely wanted the Dungeon to “stay true” to its former self — “edgy, yet discreet and sexy.”

But it currently has a very small selection of lingerie, focusing more on adult toys and items popular for bachelorette parties.

The Mistress, which will feature design elements like a chimney, will be more focused on undergarments for both men and women, Ceja said.

“It will be a warm, welcoming place,” he said. “We’ll be open to all walks of life.”
