The NFL – and the Dallas Cowboys – keep finding new sources of revenue.

The Associated Press reported that the Cowboys are teaming up with Victoria’s Secret, with the lingerie company opening a store at Cowboys Stadium selling lingerie and other clothing promoting the NFL’s most valuable team. The store was slated to open for the Cowboys’ Monday night game against the Chicago Bears on Oct. 1.

Forbes reported this year that the Cowboys are now worth $2.1 billion after owner Jerry Jones bought the team in 1989 for $140 million. Forbes added that last season the Cowboys generated $500 million in total revenue, a record for an American sports team, and posted operating income of $227 million.

No word yet on whether the Cowboys cheerleaders will be modelling the new Victoria’s Secret line of lingerie, etc.

NFL replacement referee was fired by Lingerie Football League

With their hat’s tipped to the cheering crowd, the professional NFL officials finally took to the field. Football fans at Baltimore’s MT Stadium giving the real refs a standing ovation. The seasoned officiating crew, with a combined 70 years of experience, were a far cry from the replacement refs who bumbled their way through bad calls and blunders, making the start of the NFL season a living nightmare for the fans and players. Hey, but you can’t say they had “no” experience.

Turns out, one of the faux officials, Craig Ochoa, was an actual professional referee at one point. No, not for the NFL, for the LFL. Better known as the Lingerie Football League. Was is the key word here, cause Ochoa couldn’t keep his eyes on those LFL tight-ends any better than he could NFL balls. He got canned from the lady’s league too!

The Lingerie Football League’s comish, Mitch Mortaza claimed that Ochoa was fired for being incompetent at reffing the girls. Mortaza went on to say how shocked he was to see Ochoa officiating for the NFL during the walkout.
