Even when she’s buttoned up, Dita Von Teese can’t help but give a glimpse of her inner sex siren.

The 42-year-old flashed one of the bras from her lingerie collection Madame X beneath a see-through, long-sleeved blouse while enjoying lunch with a mystery man at Los Angeles’ Venice Beach on Thursday.

With her trademark 1950′s style, the burlesque performer paired the sheer cream top with a long blue skirt decorated with a green leaf pattern. Cat’s eye glasses and black heels completed her retro look.

She accessorized with her trademark red matte lipstick and a classic red manicure.

The ex-wife of Marilyn Manson pulled back her dark hair and wore it in a low bun.

The look would have appeared almost demure if not for the clearly-visible lingerie peaking from beneath her buttoned-up blouse.

Von Teese has her own line of vintage-inspired lingerie, Madame X.

The model and sometimes-actress trained as a costume designer and stylist before branching out into burlesque. She rocketed to fame by landing the covers of Playboy and later marrying shock rocker Manson. The pair split in 2006 after just one year of marriage.

Despite the California sunshine and the hippie vibe of Venice Beach, Von Teese stuck her to classic style as she chatted with a male companion and friends.

He looks right for her: The mystery man had on a blue shirt buttoned all the way up to his neck and black jeans with laced-up shoes

The burlesque star has previously admitted she never leaves the house without her trademark red matte lipstick.

And despite her distinctive look, Von Teese says it takes her just five minutes to get ready before leaving the house each day.

She has been working it on the catwalk as a model for Chanel.

And now Kendall Jenner has showed off she has earned her lingerie modelling stripes too as the face of Calvin Klein’s new campaign, which the company is calling the return of ‘The Original Sexy.’

The 19-year-old smolders for the camera in her smalls, pouting provocatively in the shots by photographer Mikael Jansson.

Watch out Kim! Kendall Jenner shows delectable derrière’s are in the genes as one of the faces of Calvin Kleins latest underwear campaigns.

And giving her sister Kim a run for her money in the bottom stakes, in one shot she can be seen displaying her bottom in a semi see through thong.

Delectable derrière’s clearly run in the family as Kendall’s pert posterior almost draws all the attention away from the underwear she is in.

In another photo Kendall stares directly into the lens, her brunette locks tousled around her face.

Also in the campaign are Joan Smalls, Isabeli Fontana and Edita Vilkeviciute.

Set to break at the end of July, Kendall can be seen showcasing her lithe limbs in the bra and knicker sets which are in a range of lace and mesh.

Speaking to Womens Wear Daily about the shoot she said: ‘It was super fun. Every girl loves posing in her underwear. It’s always fun to do that.

‘I’m close with Joan, and me and all the girls are friends.’

The campaign features individual portraits of the models who are all wearing an assortment of embroidered lace sling balconettes, chemises and bodysuits which are designed to enhance the cleavage.

The shoot took place at Pier 59 in New York and Kendall says she flew in for the day between fashion shows for Paris Fashion Week.

‘I flew out that night to do the Chanel show,” Kendall said.

‘The shoot was amazing. Mikael Jansson shot it, and he and I have a good chemistry. Having girls around who are all my friends, the energy was really great.’

She said of the underwear she was modelling that it was ‘definitely something’  she would wear: ‘The bras are great; I was surprised at how comfortable they were.’ 

She went on the describe the brand as ‘really timeless, chic and classy.’

The second youngest in the Kardashian/ Jenner clan said she tries to be a role model and has no concerns about people saying the shoot is too racy.

In fact, she is expecting the reaction to great adding: ‘why wouldn’t I want it to be great?’  

Forgotten something? Edita Vilkeviciute went for a more risque option in nothing but her smalls in one shot
