Beloved Intimates specializes in lines that are new to area

Beloved Intimates fills a niche in Nashville that brides and lovers of fine underpinnings have long bemoaned.

The new lingerie boutique offers bridal lingerie, upscale bra and panties, and beautiful slips and chemises from lines that have never been offered in Tennessee before, according to owner Emily Day Tulloh.

“I geek out on lingerie,� Tulloh says, laughing. “I know a lot of the lingerie designers personally and I know the business, so I am very picky about what I will carry.�

Tulloh lived and worked in New York, designing lingerie and helping launch the successful Jenna Leigh line, before moving to Nashville with her husband nearly two years ago.

“I moved here and tried to shop for the sort of upscale lingerie I always found in New York. I was shocked that a city as cool as Nashville didn’t have many options at all. So I started planning,� says Tulloh.

She researched vendors, locations and eventually settled on a spot in Green Hills. Her vendor selection includes 25 lines, 23 of which are not available anywhere else in the state.

Everyday basics run $45-$65, and higher-end designer brands are in the $80 to $100 range.

“I am so excited about a line of shapewear, Resultwear, that is absolutely beautiful. It looks like a sexy underpinning, but it does the job. And my bridal selection is incredible,� she says.

Aside from inventory, Tulloh is keenly aware that service and atmosphere play into shopping for intimates.

“Shopping for a bra or lingerie is such a personal experience. I want to do everything I can to make a woman feel comfortable,� Tulloh says.

She offers a database with each client’s sizes and preferences so that she can make shopping easier for each individual. She also offers in-store bridal showers for brides.

“The bridal party can host a shower here and we will offer discounts for group shopping. They can buy pieces for the bride and pick up a few things for themselves,� Tulloh explains.

With lines like organic-only Skin, French-based Lou Lingerie and beautiful slip, bra and panty line Fortnight, the selection at Beloved Intimates may have me geeking out a bit, as well.

CRIME REPORTS: Woman in Black Lingerie Pees in Public

At 11:28 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 200 block of El Camino Real. The report stated that a drunk man was resisting removal from the a local bar and was upset about a bouncer punching him. 

At 10:03 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a disturbance near the Camino Mira Costa and Calle Guaymas intersection. The informant was reportedly upset about a group of minors who were being loud in a park. The caller stated it has been a reoccurring problem. 

At 9:48 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a firework violation in the 2800 block of Riachuelo. The report stated there was a group of drunk subjects setting off illegal fireworks. There was no report of an arrest. 

At 1:58 p.m. Thursday, a caller reported a suspicious circumstance in the 800 block of El Camino Real. The report stated that an extremely drunk transient had walked into CVS and proceeded to drink two beers. The subject was between the ages of 45 and 50 and was carrying a large piece of luggage. 

At 8:12 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported an indecent exposure near the East Avenida Pico and the Avenida La Pata intersection. The informant was in the Walmart parking lot when an man came up to her and started fondling his penis. The subject then proceeded to drive around the parking lot several times.

At 5:34 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a disturbance in the 500 block of Ardilla. The report stated that a man and a woman had gotten into a heated verbal argument in their front yard. There was no report of any narcotics or weapons involved. 

At 1:11 p.m. Wednesday, a caller reported a suspicious person in a vehicle in the 600 block of Calle Capana. The report stated that a group of young men who appeared to look like gang members were repeatedly driving around the neighborhood. The informant was suspicious and requested assistance from deputies. 

At 1:19 p.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a drunk driver near the East Avenida Pico and El Camino Real intersection. The informant reportedly witnessed a subject drinking a bottle of vodka while driving a grey Volkswagen. The subject was last seen turning north on El Camino Real from Pico. 

At 8:05 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a suspicious person in the 100 block of Avenida Navarro. The informant witnessed a woman in her 30s sitting under a blanket in just black lingerie. The woman then proceeded to walk over to a wall and urinate. 

At 12:14 a.m. Tuesday, a caller reported a prowler in the 200 block of Avenida Miramar. The informant reported seeing thin man with glasses and a button up T-shirt for peeping into windows. It was the second time the informant had seen the subject this week.
